2K Games boss Christoph Hartmann stated in an in-depth interview with Gamesindustry International that games should inspire to capture a type of photo-realistic emotion that movies tend to display much easier than games do. He feels it’s the only way to open new genres in the gaming industry.

Last Minute Guild Wars 2 Screenshots!

Not wearing armor? Do you SEE these six-packs?
I’m sure your presence must lack purpose, to be here must have been a mistake. I mean, reading this article puts you smack dab in the middle of PaJamieez country. Did the sign not radiate with the light of a supernova, begging for warning’s acknowledgement? Turn back now, as the usual journalistic sovereignty you’ve grown accustomed to has been put away… temporarily. Left behind are fragments of sanity, and the boiled down essence of obsession. These are my Guild Wars 2 screenshots.

GameStop CEO Says Boo To Latest Pre-Owned Games Banned Rumor
A rumor has been moving around the mill lately that the next generation of consoles from Microsoft and Sony apparently won’t support any used games at all. Of course, this is just a rumor since a lot of details about the consoles themselves are little to non-existent, but this hasn’t kept the CEO of GameStop Paul Raines from being asked about this hot rumor in an interview he had with Gamespot about his company.
New York Videogame Critics’ Circle: Inspiration, Drinks, and a Damned Good Time
On July 31st, Barcade Brooklyn housed an event for the New York Videogame Critics’ Circle hosted by Harold Goldberg, author of All Your Base Are Belong to Us and owner of nygamecritics.com. Some of the industry’s most influential writers came out that evening to meet readers, play some classic arcade games, and sample the latest rotation of Barcade’s extensive brew selection. The most memorable moment of the night aside from trading awkward glances with Giantbomb‘s Alex Navarro, was probably piggy backing on a drink order with Michael McWhertor while trying to keep my fan boy from showing. Resident Evil 6: Ada Wong scenarios plus more!
As an avid Resident Evil fan, the months spent waiting for Resident Evil 6 have been excruciatingly long. However with the release of extra trailers, character profiles, game play footage and not to mention various conferences, Capcom has given us fans something to tide us over while we wait.
Game play footage released today from the Japanese Biohazard Youtube Channel, shows Ada Wong navigating through a cemetery, while skeleton-like zombies chase after her. The footage also shows Ada Wong and Leon Kennedy cross-overs. Much has been made about the cross over feature of Resident Evil 6 and seeing Ada Wong being thrown in to the mix is rather exciting to say the least. According to Official PlayStation Magazine UK, the Ada scenario will a single player experience and is unlocked when all 3 main campaigns are completed. This definitely brings back fond memories of Ada’s Separate Ways mission from Resident Evil 4.
While I am excited with the video released today, is too much being spoiled? I can only hope that the developers do not mind showing this much now, because there are other amazing things to be had once Resident Evil 6 is released on October 2nd, 2012.
After the jump, be sure to check out the video for Agent Hunt Mode which is a competitive online mode!
