Ken Levine believes adding Move support to Bioshock would cheat gamers

Wow, the Move makes me really feel like I'm falling! Wait...it doesn't?

Ken Levine, the man behind Bioshock, doesn’t want to add PlayStation Move support to the latest iteration of the popular series. As for why Levine isn’t behind the whole idea, “I’d never want to throw in Move support just because it’s going to make some first party happy or because some marketing department wants it on the box because, at the end of the day, gamers know,” he stated.

“If you don’t have anything special to say about that control device gamers are going to know. Do you want to play BioShock and it’s like, ‘okay, do you want to harvest or save Little Sister? Waggle left to harvest, waggle right to save!’ You can have Move support on your box but people are going to know you’re cheating them.”

Peter Molyneux Promises the Moon and the Stars in Next “Fable” Game, Gamers Everywhere Chortle.

Oh Pete, you just don’t know when to quit, do you?

During an interview with CVG, Lionhead Studios…head (?) Peter Molyneux stated that, should the next “Fable” game come to fruition, it will stand as a shining paragon of drama, world creation, and storytelling, and will also cure cancer and make delicious milkshakes. Only two of those are lies…

Child of Eden Gets Release Date

Upon seeing the trailer to this game last year, my eyes have been begging for more stuff about this game. And now, we finally have a release date. Q? Entertainment’s Tetsuya Mizuguchi has confirmed that the game will come out June 14. As the article from Destructoid points out, it’s only the 360 version. The PS3 version will come out at a later date.

To those not familiar, well, get familiar with it! It seems like the basic gist of it is that it’sa on-rails shooter akin to Sin & Punishment (almost). Seeing from the initial trailer, you use the Kinect (or PS Move) to take aim and fire as on-screen enemies. The story of the game involves Lumi, the character you see portrayed in the videos for Genki Rockets.

Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove Moved to 3DS

Natsume’s handheld rhythm game, Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove, has been moved to the 3DS. Originally planned for the DS, this game boasts a gameplay style similar to Elite Beat Agents. The only major change to this game, besides the potential benefit of having increased resolution, is that the gameplay is on the lower screen and the dancing is on the upper. To get a better idea of what this game is about, check out this video from E3 (when it was still planned for the DS)

Ubisoft Ordered to Remove We Dare Ads From the Internet

Umm...are we doing something wrong?

We Dare, Ubisoft’s risque title for the Wii, has been the center of controversy ever since its trailer debuted. This was mainly due to the ages 12 and up rating given by Pan Europe Game Information (PEGI), as the trailer suggested gameplay involving provocative actions such as spanking and showed the players of the game undressing. But if all the negative press the game has been getting wasn’t enough, now PEGI wants Ubisoft to pull its advertisement off the internet.

Dissidia 012 Duodecim Gets US Trailer

It’s about time! I got a chance to play the Japanese demo of Dissidia 012 on a friend’s PSP. Everything seems to play the same, aside from the assist characters, which I didn’t know how to summon. Everyone from the previous game is coming back. Joining them is Kain from FFIV, Tifa from FFVII, Laguna from FFVIII, Yuna from FFIX, Yuna from FFX, Prishe from FFXI, Vaan from FFXII, and Lightning from FFXIII. Duodecim Prologus comes out on PSN onMarch 15 (same day as Okamiden ^w^). It’ll come with Aerith as an assist that can be carried over to the main game.

Catherine’s title character voiced by Laura Bailey

My turn for some Catherine news!

Our title character is voiced by a certain Laura Bailey, who has voiced a number of my favorite characters.  Hewpoe from Klonoa and Kaine from Nier are the first to come to mind… but I’m weird.

Oh and she was Oboro from Basilisk, one of the few well dubbed anime I’ve encountered.  I was not extremely hyped for Catherine at first, but now I’m really starting to look forward to it!

See Jill And Shuma Gorath in Action

Capcom has just released a pair of trailers for the two DLC characters that will be available for MVC3, Jill and Shuma Gorath. This isn’t the first time that Jill’s been beating the crap out of the Marvel characters, as she made her debut in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, together with Zombies, dogs, and crows (and even Tyrant). But she’ll be shedding all that extra baggage for more acrobatics, taking after her appearance in Resident Evil 5. I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce her S.T.A.R.S. uniform (or RE3 outfit) as an alternate costume for her.

And there’s Shuma Gorath. I don’t know much about him, other than that he’s from the Dr. Strange comics and that I’ve never read those.

Both Shuma and Jill will each cost $5. If you bought the limited edition, they’re free.

Troy Baker Revealed to be the Voice of Catherine’s Vincent

Troy Baker has recently been hinting at this on his Facebook page and now it’s finally confirmed. Baker will be lending his voice talent to Atlus’ Catherine, voicing the protagonist Vincent Brooks.

You may know him as Tales of Vesperia’s Yuri Lowell, Snow Villiers from FFXIII, or Persona 4’s Kanji Tatsumi. Troy Baker will add Vincent Brooks to his already extensive list of voiced roles. Personally, I’m a fan of Baker’s work and think he’ll do the character justice. Atlus usually is spot on when it comes to voice work, and knowing Baker’s involvement in the game only gets me that much more excited for its release this summer.

As an added bonus for Soul Eater fans, here’s a clip of Baker singing the infamous Excalibur song.

Did I mention I can’t wait?

Catherine Coming to the US

Atlus are such terrible liars. After saying that they had no planes to release the game in the US, a little cryptic message popped up asking gamers, “Do you still like us?” If that pink background was any indication, then they really suck on the subtlety front. Currently Catherine is planned to be released this Summer (Though Gamestop seems to know when exactly). I did try out the Catherine demo, and it’s a quirky little game, and freaking difficult! But that’s okay, this is Atlus we’re talking about.

Atlus released a trailer for our viewing not too long ago. You can see it below.
